One of his most famous bouts is his 1973 clash with Rafael Herrera in California. Entering the bout Borkhorsor was looking to become a 2-weight champion as he took the then WBC Bantamweight champion, who was looking to land a unification bout later in the year. Pacquiao easily defeated Terao, taking him out within a round, but that bit of trivia leads us here, to a 1998 bout with Terao taking on countryman Kazuhiro Ryuko [柳光 和博], in what was Terao bout immediately before his May 1998 bout with Pacquiao.
