October 30th 2015-Sawan Vegas Hotel Suwannakhet, Laos Kongthara KKP (10-0, 8) v Boido Simanjuntak (18-31-1, 7) This past Friday saw one of our favourite prospects in action as Kongthara KKP took to the ring in Laos. The talented Kongthara faced off against Indonesian journeyman Boido Simanjuntak in what was really just a stay busy fight for Kongthara, who is continuing to hone his skills.

October 30th 2015-Sawan Vegas Hotel Suwannakhet, Laos Nampetch Kwanjaisrikod (6-1, 2) vs Krataikao Sithpathum (0-0) Youngster Nampetch Kwanjaisrikod may not have a perfect record but she is quickly making a name for herself in Laos where she has been fighting as a professional boxer since the age of 14. She was recently in the ring against the debuting Krataikao Sithpathum in a bout that again showed why those in Laos, and to some degree Thailand, are rather excited about her. October 30th 2015-Sawan Vegas Hotel Suwannakhet, Laos Petchmanee Kokietgym (9-0, 4) Vs Jaysever Abcede (10-3, 6) Earlier this year we saw Filipino fighter Jaysever Abcede play the spoiler in Thailand as he upset the then WBO #1 ranked Minimumweight contender Pigmy Kokietgym. That win saw Abcede claim the WBO Oriental title. This past Friday he returned to Thailand in the first defence of that title, as he took on the unbeaten Petchmanee Kokietgym. October 28th 2015-Rama IX Chalermprakiat Park, Phrae, Thailand Sadudee Tor Buamas (0-0) Vs Petchprakai Sithwangluang (0-0) A recent all debutant bout in Thailand saw Sadudee Tor Buamas, part of the well recognised Tor Buamas stable, take on Petchprakai Sithwangluang. October 28th 2015-Rama IX Chalermprakiat Park, Phrae, Thailand Lucky Tor Buamas (5-0, 5) v Rungrith Petchtamnak (0-0) One of the many rising Thai hopefuls in action recently was Lucky Tor Buamas who faced Rungrith Petchtamnak as he looked to try and continue his perfect record. October 28th 2015-Rama IX Chalermprakiat Park, Phrae, Thailand Samson Tor Buamas (36-3, 18) vs Marcela Soto (1-0) When we talk about the best female Thai's it's fair to say that there is very little competition to Samson Tor Buamas, despite her often limited competition. The Thai female great was recently seen in action as she took on the unbeaten Marcela Soto in a bout for the WIBA Minimumweight title. October 16th 2015-Ayutthaya Park Ayutthaya, Thailand Yodsingdaeng Jor Chaijinda (9-1, 5) vs Vichannoi Srisaketpattana (0-0) Thailand's once beaten hopeful Yodsingdaeng Jor Chaijinda was recently seen in action as he took on inexperienced foe Vichannoi Srisaketpattana. October 16th 2015-Ayutthaya Park Ayutthaya, Thailand Hanuman Sithluangporphun (11-4, 3) vs Heri Amol (37-24-5, 15) A recent title fight in Thailand saw Hanuman Sithluangporphun take on Indonesian veteran Heri Amol. October 16th 2015-Ayutthaya Park Ayutthaya, Thailand Thong Sithluangphophun (14-0, 9) v Boido Simanjuntak (18-30-1, 7) One of Thailand's most promising prospects is Thong Sithluangphophun who was recently seen in action against Indonesian journeyman Boido Simanjuntak. September 16th 2015-Shimazu Arena, Kyoto, Kyoto, Japan Shohei Omori (14-0, 9) Vs Hirofumi Mukai (11-3-2, 1) Last year we saw Shohei Omori break out with a win over Christian Esquivel. This year he did more than that as he totally dismantled Kentaro Masuda to claim the Japanese Bantamweight title. In his first defense of the Japanese title the "Demon of Left" took on former world title challenger Hirofumi Mukai in what was regarded as a key bout for the Kyoto boxing scene. Note-This is from the TBS rebroadcast of the fight and doesn't feature the first couple of rounds unfortunately, unlike the GAORA and MBS broadcasts of the bout. |
