August 3rd 2015- Reo Saito Vs Ginjiro Tsutsumimoto The 2015 High School finals had some really good bouts, and arguably the pick of those was at Lightweight where Reo Saito battle Ginjiro Tsutsumimoto in absolute thriller. August 3rd 2015- Taiga Imanaga Vs Hayate Inoue We know about the "Inoue brothers", Naoya and Takuma, but they aren't the only "Inoue" brothers with Takeshi and Hayate being another pair of brothers with the Inoue Surname. Hayate was in the final of the 2015 All Japan High School final at Bantamweight, where he fought Taiga Imanaga. August 3rd 2015- Takeshi Inoue Vs Hayato Tsutsumi The 2015 All Japan High School tournament was brilliant, and the stand out bout saw Takeshi Inoue battle Hayato Tsutsumi in a Flyweight bout that was truly tremendous. IF you like a fight this one is really as good as it gets. August 3rd 2015- Ryutaro Nakagaki Vs Keisuke Matsumoto The 2015 All Japan High School boxing tournament was certainly a memorable one earlier this year. Among those in action were the Asian champion Ryutaro Nakagaki who took on the much touted Keisuke Matsumoto in the very exciting Light Flyweight final. Whilst neither of these two have signified their intentions to turn professional, yet, it's clear that both will have success in the pro ranks when they do, finally, fight for pay. August 3rd 2015 Yudai Shigeoka (N/A) Vs Ryusei Matsumoto (N/A) Back in August Japanese amateur fans had a treat as they got the chance to see the 2015 All-Japan High School Finals. December 16th 2015-Shimazu Arena, Kyoto, Kyoto, Japan Shohei Omori (15-0, 10) Vs Marlon Tapales (27-2, 10) World title eliminators are often a bit of a joke, though every so often we get a really mouth watering match up. One such bout came earlier this week when Japanese champion Shohei Omori took on Filipino contender Marlon Tapales. The bout looked great on paper, though proved less competitive than some, including ourselves, had expected. Note-We are looking for a better version but sadly this is all we have for now December 11th 2015-Central Gym, Kobe, Hyogo, Japan Hozumi Hasegawa (34-5, 15) Vs Carlos Andres Ruiz Machuca (14-1, 5) Earlier this week Japanese fans got the chance to see the great Hozumi Hasegawa battle against the little known Carlos Andres Ruiz Machuca on a show televised by Japanese TV. For those who missed it, here is that fight. An alternative version of this fight, filmed by a fan, can be seen here. December 11th 2015-Central Gym, Kobe, Hyogo, Japan Etsuko Tada (14-2-2, 4) v Kareli Lopez (8-5-3, 2) Female boxing in Japan is well regarded and the country does host numerous world title fights. The most recent of those was an IBF female Minimumweight title fight between Etusko Tada and Kareli Lopez. (Footage courtesy of nov K) |
