June 17th 2005-Sangdong-Naght, Bucheon, South Korea Yo Sam Choi (26-5, 15) vs Aphidet Khotchum (0-2) I In 2005 former South Korean world champion Yo Sam Choi [최요삼] battled against Thai foe Aphidet Khotchum, in the first of two bouts between the men, who also fought in 2006. Note - The Thai is shown on screen as having a 7-0 (3) record) January 17th 2001-Daejin Highschool, Seoul, South Korea Young Kwan Park (2-0) vs Il Hwak Kim (0-0) In 2001 Korean fight fans in Seoul saw a Lightweight clash between Young Kwan Park and Il Hwak Kim, who clashed in a Rookie of the Year bout. February 20th 2021-Universum Gym, Hamburg, Hamburg, Germany Zhan Kossobutskiy (14-0, 13) vs Onoriode Ehwarieme (18-1, 17) Over this past weekend fight fans had the chance to see unbeaten Kazakh Heavyweight Zhan Kossobutskiy [Жан Кособуцкий] in action, as he faced Nigerian puncher Onoriode Ehwarieme in a bout for the WBA International Heavyweight title. Rather interestingly the bout was Kossobutskiy's third within 12 months whilst the 33 year old Ehwarieme was fightign for the first time since December 2019. February 21st 2021-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Katsuhiro Nakata (5-0, 4) vs Eiki Kani (3-0-2, 1) At the recent Rookie of the Year finals we saw unbeaten men clash in the Middleweight finals, as teenager teenager Eiki Kani [可兒 栄樹] faced off with the hard hitting Katsuhiro Nakata [中田 勝浩]. On paper this one looked good, and in the ring it over-delivered, giving us a sensational war as both men stood and traded in a phone booth. This was a fantastic way to end the 67th Rookie of the Year finals. February 21st 2021-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Hiroya Nojima (5-1, 2) vs Kaichi Yamazaki (2-2, 2) The recent All Japan Rookie of the Year final at Welterweight saw the once beaten Hiroya Nojima [能嶋 宏弥] take on Kaichi Yamazaki [山﨑 海知] in bout that looked like a mismatch on paper but was one that instantly had drama and excitement, with the first minute being among the best minutes of the entire Rookie show. February 21st 2021-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Hiromasa Urakawa (6-1, 4) vs Eiji Togawa (6-3, 3) This past weekend once beaten Lightweight fighter Hiromasa Urakawa [浦川 大将] clashed with Eiji Togawa [戸川 叡二] at the 67th All Japan Rookie of the Year final, with the two men battling over 5 rounds at Korakuen Hall. February 21st 2021-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Tsubasa Narai (6-0, 5) vs Seika Fukuda (5-0, 1) The Super Featherweight final at the 67th All Japan Rookie of the Year was, on paper, one of the most interesting match ups of the finals. The contest pitted the unbeaten pairing of Tsubasa Narai [奈良井 翼] and Seika Fukuda [福田 星河] against each other. This was, on paper, puncher Vs boxer, and ended up being one of the most explosive bouts of the finals. February 21st 2021-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Sora Fukunaga (8-0, 4) vs Yuki Yazan (7-2, 4) This past weekend we had the 67th All Japan Rookie of the Year finals. The Super Bantamweight bout on the show saw the unbeaten Sora Fukunaga [福永 宇宙] battle against Yuki Yazan [矢斬 佑季] in a 5 rounder at Korakuen Hall. On paper this was one of the most match ups at of the finals, and it proved to be a compelling contest when the men were in the ring. February 21st 2021-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Fuya Tomita (5-2, 2) vs Ryuki Sudo (2-0, 1) In the Bantamweight final at the recent All Japan Rookie of the Year final we saw the unbeaten Ryuki Sudo [須藤 龍揮] face off with the more experienced Fuya Tomita [冨田 風弥] in an entertaining 4 rounder at Korakuen Hall. |
