November 18th 2006-Thomas & Mack Center, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Manny Pacquiao (42-3-2, 32) vs Erik Morales (48-4, 34) III In 2006 we got the third and final bout between legendary fighters Manny Pacquiao, from the Philippines, and Erik Morales, of Mexico. Heading into this bout the men were tied 1-1 in their series, though it does need saying that Pacquiao had won the second bout by stoppage and was the clear favourite heading into this one.

The bout came 10 months after their first bout, which had seen Morales take a unanimous decision over Pacquiao to claim the WBC International Super Featherweight title. Between the first bout between these two and this bout, Pacquiao had bounced back from his loss with a win over Hector Velazquez whilst Morales had suffered a big upset loss to Zahir Raheeem. March 19th 2005-MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Manny Pacquiao (39-2-2, 30) Vs Erik Morales (47-2, 34) I In March 2005 Filipino fighter Manny Pacquiao took on Mexican legend Erik Morales, in the first of 3 bouts between the legendary fighters. This bout was Morales's first after losing his third bout with Marco Antonio Barrera and he had a point to prove. Pacquiao on the other hand was looking to establish himself at 130lbs, as he continued to move through the weights. July 15th 2018-Axiata Arena, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia Manny Pacquiao (59-7-2, 38) Vs Lucas Martin Matthysse (39-4-0-1, 36) Back in the summer of 2015 Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao faced off with WBA "regular" Welterweight champion Lucas Martin Matthysse in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with the the 39 year old Pacquiao looking to bounce back from his controversial 2017 loss to Jeff Horn. November 23rd 2014-Cotai Arena, Venetian Resort, Macao, Macao S.A.R., China Manny Pacquiao (56-5-2, 38) vs Chris Algieri (20-0, 8) On November 23rd 2014, just over 6 years ago, Filipino star Manny Pacquiao, the then WBO Welterweight champion, took on unbeaten American challenger Chris Algieri, on a bout staged in Macao, back when Bob Arum was still running shows in the gambling hotbed. November 14th 2009-MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Manny Pacquiao (49-3-2 37) vs Miguel Cotto (34-1, 27) In November 2009 Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao put in one of his best career performances as he challenged WBO Welterweight champion Miguel Cotto. This is one of Pacquiao's career defining fights and it's amazing to think he's still a professional fighter more than a decade later! April 14th 2007-Alamodome, San Antonio, Texas, USA Manny Pacquiao (43-3-2, 33) vs Jorge Solis (34-0-2, 25) In 2007 Filipino sensation Manny Pacquiao looked to defend his WBC International Super Featherweight title as he took on the unbeaten Jorge Solis in San Antonio, Texas. September 10th 2005- Staples Center, Los Angeles, California, USA Manny Pacquiao (39-3-2, 30) vs Hector Velazquez (42-10-2, 31) Way back in 2005 Filipino sensation Manny Pacquiao faced off with Mexican veteran Hector Velazquez for the vacant WBC International Super Featherweight title. December 8th 2012-MGM Grand, Grand Garden Arena, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Manny Pacquiao (54-4-2, 38) vs Juan Manuel Marquez (54-6-1, 39) IV In December 2012 we got the 4th clash between Filipino icon Manny Pacquiao and his Mexican nemesis Juan Manuel Marquez. The bout, regarded by many as the best bout of 2012, was a tremendous fight, and if you've got the time it's always worthy of a rewatch! November 12th 2011-MGM Grand, Las Vegas, Nevada, USA Manny Pacquiao (53-3-2, 38) vs Juan Manuel Marquez (53-5-1, 39) III Way back in November 2011 we had the third chapter in the amazing rivalry between Manny Pacquiao and Juan Manuel Marquez. This bout, fought at a catch weight of 144lbs, was supposed to end their infamous feud, but instead it left the door open to a fourth fight, which we got just 13 months later. |
