September 23rd 2005-Pacifico, Yokohama, Kanagawa, Japan Tadashi Yuba (27-2-2, 19) Vs Teruyoshi Omagari (14-4-3, 13) In September 2005 the then Japanese Welterweight champion Tadashi Yuba [湯場忠志] went up against the big punching and ultra-aggressive Teruyoshi Omagari [大曲輝斎]. April 20th 2007- Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Tadashi Yuba (29-4-2, 21) vs Akihiro Furukawa (9-0-1, 7) In 2007 Japanese puncher Tadashi Yuba [湯場忠志] took on the unbeaten Akihiro Furukawa [古川明裕] in a bout for the vacant Japanese Welterweight crown. If you like fights wild and short this is well worth a watch. August 8th 2007-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Tadashi Yuba (30-4-2, 22) vs Masato Arai (13-3-1, 9) In 2007 Japanese domestic star Tadashi Yuba [湯場忠志] claimed the Japanese Welterweight title. In Yuba's first defense of that title he took on Masato Arai [新井雅人]. June 29th 2010- Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Tadashi Yuba (36-5-2, 27) vs Yoshitomo Nishi (7-6-1, 3) In 2010 Tadashi Yuba [湯場忠志] fought a stay busy fight whilst chasing a Light Middleweight title fight, that stay busy saw him take on Yoshitomo Nishi [西禄朋]. September 4th 2010-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Charles Bellamy (14-1-1, 10) vs Tadashi Yuba (37-5-2, 28) I In 2010 Japanese based American Charles Bellamy, then fighting as Charlie Ota, was the OPBF and Japanese Light Middleweight champion. In September that year he took on Japanese domestic legend Tadashi Yuba [湯場忠志] in a thrilling bout. The two men would later having a rematch, the following year, with that one lacking the competitiveness of this contest. January 8th 2011- Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Tadashi Yuba (37-6-2, 28) vs Takayuki Hosokawa (17-7-3, 4) I In 2011 multi-weight Japanese champion Tadashi Yuba [湯場忠志] battled against Takayuki Hosokawa [細川貴之], who would later go on to claim Japanese and OPBF title fights. These two men would, interestingly, have a rematch more than 3 years after this bout, with that bout being for the Japanese 154lb title, this however was a non-title bout set for 8 rounds. October 8th 2012-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Tadashi Yuba (41-7-2, 31) Vs Sanosuke Sasaki (10-1, 4) In early 2012 Tadashi Yuba [湯場忠志] claimed the Japanese Middleweight title, scoring a win in a sensational fight with Carlos Linares. In his second defense of the title he took on Sanosuke Sasaki [佐々木左之介] February 8th 1999-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Hidenobu Honda (17-1, 9) vs Ryuji Muramatsu (17-4, 9) III In the 1990's Japanese fighters Hidenobu Honda [本田秀伸] and Ryuji Muramatsu [村松竜二] had a 3 fight series. This is their third and final bout, with Honda having won the first 2, by decision, it was clear that Marumatsu wanted revenge and to claim the Japanese Light Flyweight title, a title that Honda was looking to secure the 5th defense of. August 19th 2000-Sukhothai, Thailand Saen Sor Ploenchit (39-1, 13) vs Marat Mazimbayev (0-0) In 2000 Thailand's former world champion Saen Sor Ploenchit [แสน ส.เพลินจิต] took on Kazakh Marat Mazimbayev, in what we believe was Mazimbayev's debut and a real baptism of fire for the Kazakh. |
