December 31st 2012- Ota-City General Gymnasium, Tokyo, Japan Yota Sato (25-2-1, 12) Vs Ryo Akaho (19-0-2, 12) In 2012 we saw all-Japan fight for the WBC Super Flyweight title as defending champion, the slippery Yota Sato, defended his belt against the crude but unbeaten Ryo Akaho. Since this bout Sato has retired whilst Akaho looks to be getting a shot at a Bantamweight title later in the year. (Video courtesy of sweetboxing7)

May 12th 2015-Thailand Tepparith Kokietgym (28-3, 17) Vs Hendrik Barongsay (28-21-3, 17) Former WBA Super Flyweight champion Tepparith Kokietgym may have spent almost a year out of the ring in 2014-2015 but he's clearly trying to make up for it now, and today he fought for the 3rd times in as many months as he took on Indonesian southpaw Hendrik Barongsay. (Video courtesy of tko.in.th) May 12th 2015- Thailand Paipharob Kokietgym (28-0, 21) Vs Stevanus Nana Bau (2-3-1, 2)* Thailand's Paipharob Kokietgym has made it known in the past that he is wanting to get a world title fight in the near future. Until he gets on we're expecting to see a lot of mismatches to keep the ring rust off. One such match up saw him take on Indonesian visitor Stevanus Nana Bau. *Record thought to be very incomplete (Video courtesy of tko.in.th) May 9th 2015-Minute Maid Park, Houston, Texas, USA Taishan Dong (3-0, 2) Vs Jamal Woods (6-18-3, 6) Chinese Heavyweight giant Taishan Dong has regularly received more coverage than his talent has deserved. That's because of his sheer freaky size which was on display this past weekend when he took on limited American Jamal Woods. Without being rude to either fighter, this will not go down as a classic. May 6th 2015- Ota-City General Gymnasium, Tokyo, Japan Taiju Shiratori (0-0) Vs Nao Sugawara (0-0) On May 6th we all saw a couple of world title bouts from Tokyo, what we didn't see was the under-card we included this all-debutant bout between Taiju Shiratori and Nao Sugawara. It may not have had a big name involved but it's certainly worth watching and the winner is certainly worth making a note of given his exciting style which was on show here. (Video courtesy of gentidori) April 30th 2015-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Kyotaro Fujimoto (11-1, 6) Vs Nobuhiro Ishida (27-10-2, 11) In April 2014 we saw Nobuhiro Ishida shock us all and give Japanese Heavyweight champion Kyotaro Fujimoto a really tough bout in an 8 rounder. Exactly a year later the two men did it again in a 10 round bout for the Japanese Heavyweight title. Here is their second encounter. For those interested the first bout is here. June 17th 2014- Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Daigo Higa (0-0) Vs Saengkeng Saknarong (0-0) Japanese youngster Daigo Higa might not be a well known name, yet, though we suspect that he'll become a must watch fighter over the coming years. For those wanting to get a glimpse of his early potential this is his debut and sees him taking on Thai novice Saengkeng Saknarong. (Video courtesy of Yoko Gushiken) May 9th 2015-Central Gym, Kobe, Hyogo, Japan Hozumi Hasegawa (33-5, 15) Vs Horacio Garcia (29-0, 21) Japan's Hozumi Hasegawa is a fighter who was once regarded as a fringe pound-for-pound fight. Since then however he has slipped markedly and now every fight is a fight for his career. His latest came against unbeaten Mexican power house Horacio Garcia in a really dangerous bout for the Japanese icon. Note-If anyone has the TV footage of this bout we would love to get the chance to share that with our readers (Video footage courtesy of すのーまん) May 6th 2015- 700 Years Anniversary Sports St., Chiang Mai, Thailand Thewa Onesongchaigym (6-2, 1) Vs Thiera Meik (0-0) One of a number of recent bouts involving a Thai fighter saw Thewa Onesongchaigym battle against Theira Meik. (Video courtesy of tko.in.th) May 6th 2015- 700 Years Anniversary Sports St., Chiang Mai, Thailand Rakniran Muadransarakam (4-0, 3) Vs Saichon Or Ounsuwon (0-21) II Back in October last year Rakniran Muadransarakam made his professional debut and over-came Saichon Or Ounsuwon with a decision win.
