In September 2007 Japan's Kuniyuki Aizawa [相澤国之] became the 6th Japanese opponent of Venezuelan Alexander Munoz, who had gone 5-0 against Japanese opponents prior to this bout. Not only did Munoz love beating Japanese opponents but he entered this bout seeking his first defense of his second reign as the WBA Super Flyweight champion.
