Some shows look great from the moment they were put together and one such show is the July 23rd show at the Korakuen Hall. The show is an exceptional domestic double header with a pair of fantastic Lightweight outs that feature 4 of the top Lightweights in Japan as well as one of the best Middleweights.
The main event is a rematch between former national champions Nihito Arakawa and Akihiro Kondo. The men, who met 4 years ago, have both gone their own way since meeting and Arakawa has become a "star" of sorts in the US following his excellent contest with Omar Figueroa. As for Kondo his career has been stop-start and this will be his first fight in well over a year.
The second Lightweight fight sees current champion Yoshitaka Kato battling against the hard hitting Tsukasa Saito in what looks to be a thrilling title contest.
The poster plays incredibly well on the 2 main fights but also advertises others fights on the card, including a fight involving Makoto Fuchigami, a man best known for his loss, in a world title bout, to Gennady Golovkin.
Although the poster is busy it's also fantastic and a great advertisement of a great show. It's got an old skool feel to it but yet it's still a fantastic poster for what it's worth.

Every major fight needs good promotional posters. This part of AsianBoxing will try and feature some of those posters.
