October 22nd might be a mid week day but for boxing fans in Japan it's a day to be very excited about as they get to see WBC Bantamweight champion Shinsuke Yamanaka in action as well as a very interesting co-feature bout.
The main event will see the aforementioned Yamanaka defending his title against former Super Flyweight champion Suriyan Sor Rungvisai in a mandatory defense of his title. As well as that fantastic main event we'll also see Takahiro Ao, a 2-weight world champion, battle against former 2-time world champion Juan Carlos Salgado with that bout being a very exciting one as well.
The poster on the left comes from Thailand and shows the fighters, their respective records and nationalities. It's simple but works and should help sell the fight in the challengers homeland.
The poster on the right, the Teiken on, features all of the main fighters other than Salgado, though we're unsure why he is missing. It also features the name of the show and the date if the event.
Despite the high level of of action that the show promises we've got to admit that the poster doesn't blow us away. It's not terrible but it's certainly nothing outstanding considering that this show is main evented by a bout between Yamanaka and Suriyan. It's a world class show with an OPBF level poster we;re afraid.

Every major fight needs good promotional posters. This part of AsianBoxing will try and feature some of those posters.
