In 2004 Japanese food company Glico launched "GABA" suggesting the product had a number of health benefits, including reducing stress. Part of the advertising for that saw them releasing a series of videos, including this one.
This is almost a music video, for the song "それじゃ、ただの大人だろ", which roughly translates as "Then it's just an adult", by Japanese folk singer Takehara Pistol.
What's all this got to do with boxing? Well this video actually features former multi-weight world champion Koki Kameda in a rather notable role through, giving Kameda a chance to show off his acting chops, which in fairness are actually pretty decent.
With no fights currently on the schedule it seems like these, stress fighting products, and fun little insights into boxers outside of their normal environments, could be filling up our scheduled on Friday afternoons, so any suggestions are welcomed!
Due to coronavirus really putting the breaks on in ring boxing activity we felt it was time to share some other things involving boxers. One of those is this, the music video for "Rotor Boxer" by Japanese musician Masayoshi Yamazaki, which features former WBC Bantamweight champion Shinsuke Yamanaka in a starring role.
Those who get our monthly newsletter (sign up here https://www.asianboxing.info/newsletter.html) will have seen this but for everyone who hasn't here's a chance to see "God's Left" in somethign you may have missed.
Sadly whilst Coronavirus is sweeping the world we may find ourselves delving more into sharing things liek this....but at least the song in this case isn't a bad one!
Some things don't fit in elsewhere on the site so have been put here as a result.
