Sometimes we stumble on things that just seem odd and that's the case here with the 1970's track "Southpaw" by Japanese duo Pink Lady.
Although there's no boxer involved in the video, and the song is certainly not sung by a boxer we can't help but think the name has a clear link to boxing and, years after the song was released, it was actually used by Momo Koseki as her ring entrance song. We will be totally honest and say it's a song we don't like, but it's a song that deserve's a mention on this weekly section where we try to bring the world of musical and boxing together.
Don't expect anything musically great here but still something a little bit weird.
Note - From what we under-stand the lyrics are actually about baseball, but with southpaw also being a boxing term we've decided to include the song here.
Some things don't fit in elsewhere on the site so have been put here as a result.
