One of things 2020 has taught us is that life can be a dark, dark time and that something we look at sport as an escape, a chance to find something to enjoy outside of the darkness of the world we live in. With that in mind we've decided to share this fun exhibition from Japan from 2011.
The bout took place on August 16th 2011, on the under-card of Masayuki Kuroda's Japanese Light Flyweight bout with Yuki Sano. It featured Fron-ta, the mascot of the Kawasaku Frontale against Ippei-Kun from Ehime FC.
The bout was staged as part of a long and warm and friendly relationship between the Kawsaki Nitta gym, which Kuroda fights out of, and the Kawasaki Frontale soccer team.
In a world that has taken so much from us in 2020, lets remember that sport can be fun, we always need to take it seriously and we can enjoy the silliness of it at times!
