We begin the new year with some more musical fun! This time some in ring karaoke, as opposed to the Karaoke we shared on Christmas day!
In recent year's been serenaded by Tyson Fury after a bout, and some may even remember Daiki Kameda doing the same thing in the 2010's. What we have here is an older example of a boxer singing after winning a bout.
This is Japanese Light Middleweight Koichi Wajima singing to the fans after defending the WBC and WBA titles in 1972 against Matt Donovan. Donovan was stopped in 3 rounds and the champion, still full of energy, showed there was more to him than his ability to box as he entertained the fans at the Nihon University Auditorium.
This is admittedly quite a short clip, but it's clear that Wajima was a natural entertainer.
Some things don't fit in elsewhere on the site so have been put here as a result.
