This coming Monday is certainly not a big day for boxing in Asia, but it's a day with a small show in Tokyo, as we get the first Dangan 4 round show of 2020. As with all of these shows none of the fighters in action are big names, bit the bouts are usually entertaining and with 9 bouts on the show fans will have plenty to watch.
One of the bouts on the card will see the win-less Andy Atsushi (0-3) return to the ring after several years of inactivity. The win-less Atsushi will be looking to claim his first win as he takes on the debuting Yuta Hasegawa (0-0). Interestingly this will be Atsuhis first bout since late 2017, and sees him taking on a 4th successive debutant!
In a more interesting looking bout we see Kosuke Fukuda (1-2, 1) and Naoki Ishii (2-1) clash in a Flyweight bout. Again this is low level action and sees Fukuda trying to avoid a third straight loss. Ishii on the other hand is looking to bounce back from a loss in the 2019 Rookie of the Year to Kodai Honda.
The final bout on the show will see Featherweights collide as 20 year old Yuji Nagata (1-1) takes on Yuya Hirose (1-0, 1), who looks to build on his debut win from October. It's hard to say much about either man, but a win here will kick off their year and give them some momentum ahead of a potentially busy year ahead.
