Clean Hit Boxing Gym, Songtan, South Korea
For a second day running we get title action from South Korea. Sadly however we only get a single title fight here, despite previous plans for the show to be a title double header.
Originally we had expected a KBM Light Welterweight title fight between Da Won Gang (4-0, 2) and Hyun Jin Moon (4-0-1, 4), in what looked like a mouth watering match up. Sadly however this bout was cancelled in October when Moon was forced to pull out of the bout around 3 weeks before it was set to take place.
Sadly with the Light Welterweight title bout being cancelled we only have one title bout on the show. That is a Bantamweight title bout, which will see Jae Hyun Jo (4-1-3, 1) take on In Soo Jang (5-2-1) for the vacant title. The 21 year old Jo comes in to this unbeaten in his last 6, and has won his last 4, turning around a very weird 0-1-3 start to his professional career. Jang on the other hand has struggled in recent bouts, losing last time out and going 4-2 in his last 6, however at just 20 years old he's very much a developing youngster.
As well as the title bout between Jo and Jang the card will also feature a number of novice bouts, all scheduled for 4 rounds.
Zhenhaibao Theatre, Yinchuan, China
As well as the action in Korea we're also set to get a title doubler header in China.
The main event here will be a WBA Asia Bantamweight title bout pitting champion Jun Zhao (13-2-1, 10) against under-rated Filipino Rolly Sumalpong (11-3-2, 4). Coming in to this the local will be the favourite, after all he's on a roll with 8 straight wins, has home advantage and will be seeking to extend his reign with the title. However Sumalpong shouldn't be written off and he is a handful, having given Kenshiro Teraji a good test in 2015 and being unlucky in a number of other bouts. This could end up being a bit of a hidden gem of a fight.
Also on this card is a WBO China National Flyweight title bout, pitting the unbeaten Longyi Hu (5-0, 2) against Sheng Peng (6-6-1, 2). It's hard to go against the unbeaten 21 year old here, he's younger, fresher and his unbeaten record will fill him with confidence, but Peng has the experience to be a thorn in his side and this could be a very good test for Hu.
