This Sunday isn't a busy day in Asian boxing but it does appear to be a very interesting day with one notable prospect being given his biggest test. The prospect is the unbeaten Melvin Gumban (18-0, 9), AKA "Top Gun", who will be battling against Weljan Ugbaniel (13-2-1, 4) for the GAB Super Flyweight title. The bout looks to be a really good test on paper and although Ugbaniel can be stopped, as he has been in both of his losses it should still be viewed as a clear step up by Gumban who we think may be looking to have a break out year in 2015.
Another unbeaten prospect on this card will be the touted Vicente Casido (3-0, 2). Casido, a promising 19 year old, will be expected to make light work of Johnrey Lorico (2-6), who has been stopped 5 times, though again this is a step from what the unbeaten man has been facing so far in his career and it's going to be Casido's first scheduled 6 rounder.
As well as the two bouts mentioned this show is set to include several other contests of varying note on the lower end of the Filipino domestic scene.
