Recently we looked at songs inspired by Asian boxers, in what turned out to be a surprisingly well liked article. Whilst doing the research for that we also discovered that a number of Asian fighters have actually proven their talents with a microphone in their hand and gone on to sing themselves.
For this list we're not including the likes of Yuki Kurei, who was a musician as part of Kimaguren before turning to boxing, but instead focusing on those who were boxers first.
Note - The nationality along with the song title and fighter refers to the language of the song, not the nationality of the fighter.
It's also worth noting that former Japanese Middleweight champion Sansosuke Sasaki also released a single, featuring 2 totally separate tracks and an instrumental cover version of both of them
Sadly we've not been able to track them down, though the main track is a love from what we under-stand. Sasaki recorded this after losing the Japanese title, but his career would continue afterwards, potentially due to the low interest his musical career had.
