Arguably the most important boxer in Pakistan right now is Nadir Baloch (2-0, 2), who looks to claim his second professional title this coming Sunday, as he takes on Thai visitor Yodpichai Sithsaithong (18-19, 11) for the WBC Asian Boxing Council Silver Featherweight. The talented Pakistani is a former amateur standout who looks like there is something to be excited about but with only 2 fights in 2017 there could be issues with his activity and perhaps even funding, which has held back Muahmmad Waseem's career as well. If Baloch as good as he seems he should take the win here with out too many issues at all, despite the disadvantage in experience.
This coming Monday attention turns to Pakistan, where local hopeful Nadir Baloch (3-0, 3) takes a huge step up in class to take on Filipino Ralph Jhon Lulu (12-2-2, 5) in a bout for the UBO International Super Bantamweight title. The promising Baloch, a former Pakistani amateur standout, has stopped his first 3 foes in a combined 17 rounds, and has experienced going 8 rounds already, but his competition has been weak despite fighting in 10 rounders. As for Lulu he has lost his last two, including a stoppage loss to Genesis Servania, and whilst his record looks good it's hard to see any sort of notable wins on there.
This coming Monday attention turns to Pakistan where we see one of the first cards in the country.
The main event is a 12 rounder and will see Nadir Baloch (3-0, 3) attempt to extend his perfect record. The 28 year old will be in his first 12 rounder here and will be hoping to continue his rise as the top fighter in Pakistan. There is real pressure on Baloch to be a star, and in some ways he is Pakistan's answer to Zou Shiming and Vijender Singh, so we wish him the best here as he, along with Muhammad Waseem, look to put Pakistan on the boxing map. Sadly Baloch's opponent hasn't been announced yet, so we suspect it won't be any kind of real test for the unbeaten Pakistani.
In a supporting bout fans will see Muhammad Bilal (1-0, 1) fight in a 10 rounder, though his foe has yet to be named. Bilal made his debut in a 10 rounder and it's clear his team believe he has the stamina to do the long distance again. Sadly though with no announced opponent it's likely he will be up against a very limited opponent here.
