The only results we have from yesterday were from a 6 bout card held at the excellent Korakuen Hall. Whilst the card certainly wasn't a major card it was, as most cards in Japan are, fairly evenly matched.
The main event of the card saw Ryuta Otsuka (12-5-2, 3) over coming Yoshihito Ishizaki (7-5-1, 4) in an incredibly close 8 round bout. On paper the bout seemed to favour Otsuka but in reality it was anyone's fight with judges struggling to split the two men over the distance.
In another close one Yusuke Tsukada (5-3, 3) narrowly over-came Keisuke Ota (7-6, 1) via a 6 round decision. Although Tsukada claimed a unanimous decision the cards were generally close and the bout was pretty even.
Bantamweight action saw debutant Kota Okui (1-0) get off to a good start as he out pointed Daichi Yamamoto (0-2) scoring a near shut out over 4 rounds. In the same division Kenta Nakagawa (5-2, 2) stopped Tomoya Murata (5-3, 2). The Nakagawa stoppage was one of just stoppages on the card with the other being a 5rd round TKO by Yutaka Kamioka (6-2-2, 3) over Shota Kumazawa (5-5-1, 4).
Light punching Flyweight Kazuaki Moriya (11-3, 1) scored his 7th straight victory thanks to a technical decision over Kazuya Domi (6-4-1, 1). The bout, stopped near the end of round 5 was a near shut out for the talented Moriya.
We try and give you the latest results on all the fights from Asia.
