His second bout of the year saw him take on Piyanut Sintao. March 7th 2014-Thai Wasadu store, Sukkapibal 3 Road, Bangkok, Thailand Suriyan Sor Rungvisai (33-5-1, 14) Vs Jimmy Masangkay (4-5-1, 1) In one of the many stay busy fights that the talented Suriyan Sor Rungvisai had during his career he faced Jimmy Masangkay in Bangkok, in what was a clear mismatch. Note - Video suggests Jimmy Masangkay is actually Albert Alcoy. Given that Alcoy fought just 20 days after this bout we're of the belief that Masangkay replaced Alcoy close to fight night. The men were facing off for the WBC "silver" title as well as the chance to face Shinsuke Yamanaka in a mandatory world title bout. March 27th 2012-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Suriyan Sor Rungvisai (20-4-1, 7) Vs Yota Sato (23-2-1, 12) In 2011 Thailand's Suriyan Sor Rungvisai [สุริยัน ศ.รุ่งวิสัย] claimed the WBC Super Flyweight title. The following year Suriyan travelled to Japan to face Yota Sato [佐藤洋太] in his second defense of that WBC title. December 18th 2015-Ratchaprachasamasai School, Phra Pradaeng, Thailand Suriyan Sor Rungvisai (45-6-1, 21) v Ricky Manufoe (23-23-3, 10) Thailand's talented Suriyan Sor Rungvisai is expected to fight in some major bouts next year. To end this year however he merely stayed busy with a bout against Ricky Manufoe, an opponent that he stopped back in October 2012. |
