Rikki Naito (10-0, 5) Vs Shingo Eto (14-2-1, 9)
As boxing fans we want to see high quality fighting between well matched fighters each fighting to prove something or move their career on. All too often we see a fighter with promise facing a no hoper, or a champion defending against an undeserving, and often out classed challenger. One bout that was well matched, interesting on paper and had all the ingredients to be a very good bout saw Japanese Super Featherweight title holder Rikki Naito battle Shingo Eto late last year. This was a bout between two young men each seeking a big win and giving the bout their all. It's not a 2014 FOTY contender by any means, but a really good fight fought at a very high skill level.
