Boxing has numerous fighters all looking to make a name for themselves and get the opportunity to earn life changing sums of money. One such fighter is Ben Mananaquil a Filipino who is unbeaten through 12 fights. He has yet to really get much in terms of attention though he did come incredibly close to stopping the world ranked Kwanpichit Onesongchaigym. His most recent bout saw the Filipino travelling to China to fight the under-rated but teak tough Xiang Jing, another fighter looking for the opportunity to make a name for himself. The fight wasn't the most skilled or the most action packed bout of all time though it was a really enjoyable contest between two men both looking for their biggest win to date, it was two men looking for there chance to claim the WBO Asia Pacific Flyweight title and two men really giving their all. Sometimes the desire of the fighters can make a bout better better than all-action warfare and that's what we had here, though unfortunately we were left with an unpleasing result, a draw. Although neither of the fighters are currently big names the fight left us wanting to see more of both men and, with the fighters both in their 20's, the odds are we will see them in bigger fighters somewhere down the line. In fact we'd not be surprised if at least one of these men fights in a world title bout in the next three of four years. We suggest that you give this a watch due to the potential both men have as they begin to mature into what could be two very talented fighters.
