The show kicks off with a bout between winless fighters as Daichi Nakajima (0-2) takes on Takaichi Tsujimoto (0-3). This bout is hard to get too excited about but we'll assume it will actually be a good contest with both men giving their all to claim their first victory.
In the show's second bout the unbeaten Yuji Itani (2-0, 2), returning from more than a year out of action, faces Brazilian born Japanese fighter Kener Lucas (1-1). Following the Itani/Lucas bout we expect to see Hiroki Taniguchi (4-1-1, 1) extending his 3 fight winning streak as he fights Taisei Higashi (4-6, 4), who himself is on a 3 fight losing streak.
Talking about streaks the show's fourth contest sees Shinya Takahashi (6-7-1) attempting to break a 5 fight skid as he takes on 18 year old Hikaru Matsuoka (3-1-3, 1). For this contest we favour the youngster, obviously given Takahashi's recent form.
The show's penultimate match up see's the once beaten Yasunori Kishigami (7-1-1, 4) taking on a Thai opponent. Unfortunately, and as is often the case, we've struggled to find out who the Thai opponent is, though looking at Kishigami's record we'd not expect to see him tested in this fight.
In the main event, and easily the most interesting bout on the card by a mile, we see the highly ranked Takahiro Yamamoto (10-3, 7), ranked #4 by the OPBF, attempting to defend his rating as he takes on domestic rival Ippei Aoki (10-2, 6). For Aoki this is a huge opportunity and with both men taking 4 fight winning runs in to the bout it makes for a very promising and well matched contest. Hopefully it lives up to expectations.
