We only have a single noteworthy card today and that's in Thailand as Petchbarngborn Kokietgym (19-6-1, 8) will face Indonesian Ricky Manufoe (22-17-2, 10) in a bout for the vacant PABA Flyweight title.
Promoted by Kokiet Group Promotions the Thai will be the favourite. Not only is he the promotional outfit's fighter and the home fighter but he's also got the better record and a proven toughness.
Despite the tables being stacked against Manufoe the Indonesian should not be written off. Yes he's been beat in around 50% of his bouts but going through his record explains why. He has faced a genuine who's who including Pigmy Kokietgym, Kwanthai Sithmorseng, Noknoi Sitthiprasert, Suriyan Sor Rungvisai and Panomroonglek Kaiyanghadaogym. Fighters than in all honesty would have been favourite to beat Petchbarngborn Kokietgym had they faced him instead.
The winner of this may find himself boosted up the WBA rankings due to the association between the PABA and the WBA though it'd be a shock of sorts if either was ever going to claim a world title.
