Japan's Yasutaka Ishimoto is best known by international fans for his upset win over Wilfredo Vazquez Jr back in 2013 and his loss in May 2014 to Chris Avalos. Both of those fights saw him traveling to Macau however he has forged a very good career domestically, something that perhaps many Western fans aren't aware of. Following his win over Vazquez Jr Japanese fans got the chance to see Ishimoto return home and fight as one of the feature fighters in a small but notable Teiken card. On it Ishimoto took on Mexico's underwhelming Charly Valenzuela in what turned out to be a very 1-sided contest as Ishimoto stayed busy whilst awaiting a big fight. From the opening bell it appeared their was a notable size difference between the two men and soon afterwards it was apparent that it wasn't just the size of the men which was going to separate them with Ishimoto having the edge in skill, power and speed. The eagle eyed among you may spot some recognisable faces ringside with Takashi Miura, Takahiro Ao and Shinsuke Yamanaka all there to support their Teiken stablemates on the show, which also included Akifumi Shimoda and Toshiyuki Igarashi
