The most recent fight of note saw Thailand's Wanheng Menayothin take on WBC world champion Oswaldo Novoa in a highly entertaining scrap that was fought at a very high pace with neither looking like he wanted the bout to go the distance. We won't pretend it was the best fight in the division this year, or even the past week or so, but it was yet another cracking bout in the smallest division. There was no feeling out right, just action from the off as both men settled immediately and got down to work.
If you didn't get to catch this one live we suggest you give it a watch now and then check out one of the other Minimumweight thrillers from this year such as the world title unification bout between Katsunari Takayama and Francisco Rodriguez Jr or the recent coming of age contest between wunderkind Kosei Tanaka and Ryuji Hara, you won't be disappointed by either of those either.
