One of the best things about the Japanese boxing scene is the "Rookie of the Year" competition which allows young novices as chance to fight similar fighters. Many top Japanese fighters have come through the Rookie of the Year system to make their name and we are getting closer and closer to the All Japan finals for 2014. Before the All Japan we get the finals of the specific areas. One of which is the West. The Super Flyweight Rookie of the West final saw unbeaten men colliding as Masayoshi Hashizume battled Takeshi Kajikawa. Within a minute we knew who the better man was and who would be progressing to the next stage of the tournament and being crowned the champion of the West.
