Koki Kameda (11-0, 10) Vs Juan Jose Landaeta (23-3-1, 18)
When we talk about controversial few fighting families have had the level of controversy as the Kameda clan. One of their first major controversies occurred when the oldest son, Koki Kameda, took part in his first world title fight, taking on fellow southpaw Juan Jose Landaeta, of Venezuela. The contest, for the WBA Light Flyweight title, resulted in Kameda becoming a fighter that many wanted to see lose whilst also helping to grow his legion of loyal fans. Amazingly, 9 years after this bout, Landaeta joined a Japanese gym as he attempted to work his way towards another world title opportunity whilst in his mid 30's.
