March 25th 2006-World Memorial Hall, Kobe, Hyogo, Japan Hozumi Hasegawa (19-2, 6) vs Veeraphol Sahaprom (51-2-2, 35) II In 2005 Hozumi Hasegawa [長谷川 穂積] shocked the boxing world by defeating Thai icon Veeraphol Sahaprom [ธีระพล สำราญกลาง], to become the WBC Bantamweight champion. In 2006 the two men met again, with Sahaprom looking to become a 3-time world champion.

The following year the two men had a rematch which was televised, albeit on delay, by British television channel Sky Sports. Here is sky's coverage of the rematch between the Thai icon and a man who would become one of the key figures in Japanese boxing over the last 20 years.
