March 24th 2014-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Hisashi Amagasa (25-4-2, 16) vs Vinvin Rufino (34-15-3, 16) Back in 2014 Japanese fight fans saw Hisashi Amagasa [天笠 尚] battle against Filipino Vinvin Rufino, in what was an OPBF Featherweight title defense by Amagasa.

The two men would then have a rematch in 2013, this time for the OPBF Featherweight title. September 29th 2017-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Hisashi Amagasa (33-6-2, 21) vs Richard Pumipic (19-8-2, 6) This past Friday fight fans in Japan saw former world title challenger Hisashi Amagasa [天笠 尚] take on Filipino warrior Richard Pumicpic in a bout for the WBO Asia Pacific Featherweght title October 20th 2016-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Hisashi Amagasa (30-6-2, 20) vs Carlo Demecillo (6-2, 1) Earlier in October Japanese fans saw former world title challenger Hisashi Amagasa [天笠尚] take on little known Filipino foe Carlo Demecillo. Notably this bout was shown on tape delay as part of a Guts Fighting card with this being that TV broadcast version. Hisashi Amagasa (29-5-2, 19) vs Nathan Bolcio (12-9-2, 4) In late 2015 Japanese fight fans saw Hisashi Amagasa [天笠 尚] battled Filipino Nathan Bolcio at the Korakuen Hall. April 16th 2016-First Direct Arena, Leeds, Yorkshire, United Kingdom Hisashi Amagasa (30-5-2, 20) Vs Josh Warrington (22-0, 4) This past Saturday fans saw Japan's gangly and gutsy Hisashi Amagasa [天笠 尚] battle popular Englishman Josh Warrington. The bout wasn't the best of the weekend, but was certainly not a stinker of a bout with the worst thing being the actions of one of the officials, who really did screw up in an indefensible manner. September 16th 2008-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Hisashi Amagasa (9-3-2, 8) vs Loedsiam Sithsoei (5-6, 5) Japan's Hisashi Amagasa [天笠 尚] came to the attention of the boxing world at the end of 2014, following a bout with Guillermo Rigondeaux. Prior to that he had a long career that saw him coming though the ranks, winning the Japanese and OPBF titles. He we see a 22 year old Amagasa battle with Thailand's Loedsiam Sithsoei. June 10th 2015-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Hisashi Amagasa (28-5-2, 19) Vs Patomsith Pathompothong (12-3, 5) At the end of 2014 Hisashi Amagasa went from being a fighter totally unknown outside of Japan to being a fighter who managed to force a memorable bout with Guillermo Rigondeaux. The fight with Rigondeaux saw Amagasa ending the bout a swollen mess but as a fighter who was suddenly a "name". Sadly it took 6 months for Amagasa to return after the loss to Cuban, though he fought his return in a packed Korakuen Hall as he took on Thailand's Patomsith Pathompothong, a stablemate of Amnat Ruenroeng and Fahlan Sakkreerin Jr, who had both scored big upset wins in Japan. |
