Riyo Togo Vs Mariana Juarez I

Boxing goes hand in hand with both controversy and accusations. We saw that recently when Ruslan Provodnikov described Chris Algieri as a runner when the two men met. 

It's not just male boxing that has that kind of accusation but also female boxing and after a bout on April 27th 2013 we saw an accusation of glove tampering coming out of a female fight between Japanese puncher Riyo Togo and popular Mexican Mariana Juarez. 

The accusation was that Togo's gloves had either had the stuffing removed or weren't stuffed properly. The WBC seems to have agreed with Juarez's camp though plenty have accused the Juarez team of sour grapes for the loss. What few actually did was question the commissioner or Juarez's team who should have checked the gloves prior to the fight.

A rematch saw Juarez avenge the avenge the result but at no point was the result over-turned and it remains, to this day, an opening round TKO loss for Juarez.
