This past year we've seen several Thai's catch our attention with solid performances and good steps forward. Of course the most notable of those came at the top level with both Amnat Ruenroeng and Wanheng Menayothin really impressing us however several younger fighters have done the same, including the promising Eaktawan Mor Krungthepthonburi. Recently we saw Eaktawan taking on the familiar Ichal Tobida, who had last fought in September losing to former world champion Ryo Miyazaki. On paper the bout was a step up for the promising Thai though it always looked like a manageable one for one of the most promising young Thai's. What made it a better test however was that Tobida believed he could win and fought as if he could come away with the victory. As a result of Tobida's belief we ended up with some really fun action here, especially in round 3. (Video courtesy of ทีเคโอ มวยโลก)
