The Thai boxing scene at the moment isn't looking it's healthiest however there are murmurs of a golden generation slowly coming through with a lot of young and promising fighters all looking to leave their mark on the sport. None of the youngsters are hugely proven, yet, but one or two do seem to be getting a lot of attention due to their promise. One of those youngsters is the very young but very promising Stamp Kiatniwat. The baby faced Stamp has shown developing technical skills, nice offensive work and a lovely variety to his shots, all of which was shown in his stoppage victory against Indonesia's Johan Wahyudi. The victory may not have been the most impressive but it did show the foundations of a promising youngster in action and also included some very nice body shots from the Thai who appears to be committed to his body shots. In fairness to Wahyudi he didn't come to just make up the numbers and threw plenty of leather at Stamp though lacked the power and skills to trouble the Thai who looked very calm under the pressure. At the moment we do feel there is still a lot of improvement for Stamp to make but we've got to admit that we like him and can see a lot of promise in the youngster who appears, from recent fights, to be discovering his man strength.
