March 28th 2021-Central Gym, Kobe, Hyogo, Japan Shun Kubo (14-2, 9) vs Ruito Saeki (7-4-1, 1) This past weekend we saw former WBA Super Bantamweight world champion Shun Kubo [久保隼] in action in Kobe, as he took on 22 year old Ruito Saeki [佐伯瑠壱斗]. This was Kubo's second bout since being stopped in 2019 by Can Xu in a WBA Featherweight title fight, and only his 4th bout since losing to Danny Roman in September 2017.As for Saeki this was his first bout since going 8 rounds with Teiken prospect Mikito Nakano last year December.

May 26th 2019-Fuzhou, China Can Xu (16-2, 2) vs Shun Kubo (13-1, 9) Earlier today our attention turned to China as WBA "regular" Featherweight champion Can Xu [徐灿] battled against Japanese challenger Shun Kubo [久保隼], the former WBA "regular" Super Bantamweight champion. September 3rd 2017-Shimazu Arena, Kyoto, Kyoto, Japan Shun Kubo (12-0, 9) Vs Daniel Roman (22-2-1, 8) Earlier today Japanese fight fans saw Shun Kubo [久保隼] battle against American Daniel Roman in what was Kubo's first defense of the WBA Super Bantamweight title. On paper this was a great match up and it turned out to be a captivating bout between two fighters looking to show what they were capable of. April 9th 2017-EDION Arena Osaka, Osaka, Osaka, Japan Shun Kubo (11-0, 8) vs Nehomar Cermeno (26-5-1-1, 15) Earlier today Japanese fans saw WBA Super Bantamweight title fight, as experienced Veneuelan Nehomar Cermeno took on the unbeaten Japanese challenger Shun Kubo [久保隼] in a very interesting looking match up. December 19th 2014-Central Gym, Kobe, Hyogo, Japan Shun Kubo (5-0, 4) Vs Luis May (15-7-1, 7) Japanese boxing has a number of fast rising prospects. Whilst a number of those are well known some have remained under-the-radar, one such fighter is Shun Kubo who fought in his most notable bout last December, when he faced Mexican fighter Luis May. August 28th 2015-Central Gym, Kobe, Hyogo, Japan Shun Kubo (7-0, 5) Vs Jakarachlek Sor Wankaew (0-4) There are a lot of fighters out there with no footage available. Until recently Shun Kubo was one such man, despite being world ranked by the WBC. Thankfully footage of Kubo's recent bout with over-matched Thai Jakarachlek Sor Wankaew has been released and here it is, many people's first chance to see Kubo in action.
