January 30th 2001-Central City Millenium Hall, Seoul, South Korea Yo Sam Choi (22-1, 11) vs Saman Sorjaturong (45-3-1, 33) II In 1999 Yo Sam Choi [최요삼] defeated the then WBC Light Flyweight champion Saman Sorjaturong [สมาน ส.จาตุรงค์] to claim the title and and put himself on the boxing map. Early in 2001 the two men rematched, in a bout that was originally planned to be in North Korea but ended up in Seoul after a number of out of the ring issues forced the bout to change venue.

June 20th 2005-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Koki Kameda (6-0, 5) vs Saman Sorjaturong (46-7-1, 34) Back in 2005 Japanese fans had the chance to see Koki Kameda [亀田 興毅] take a huge step up in class, as he battled against former world champion Saman Sorjaturong, who was well past his prime and almost 10 years removed from his sensational war with Humberto Gonzalez for the IBF and WBC Light Flyweight titles. October 9th 1996-Bangplee Regional Stadium, Samut Prakan, Thailand Saman Sorjaturong (32-2-1, 26) vs Alli Galvez (36-9, 6) In his 5th defense of the WBC Light Flyweight title Saman Sorjaturong [สมาน ส.จาตุรงค์] took on Chilean Alli Galvez, who was competing in his 4th world title challenge. July 3rd 1993-Parc de Beisbol La Junta, Nuevo Laredo, Tamaulipas, Mexico Saman Sorjaturong (15-1-1, 13) Vs Ricardo Lopez (33-0, 24) Thailand's Saman Sorjaturong [สมาน ส.จาตุรงค์] is well known for his enthralling battle with Humberto Gonzalez. That bout with Gonzalez wasn't Saman's first with a legendary Mexican, that came against the brilliant Ricardo Lopez, in what was Saman's first world title bout. July 15th 1995-Great Western Forum, Inglewood, California, USA Saman Sorjaturong (26-2-1, 21) vs Humberto Gonzalez (43-2, 30) When it comes to the greatest fights ever it's hard to beat the 1995 classic between Thailand's Saman Sorjaturong [สมาน ส.จาตุรงค์] and fantastic Mexican Humberto Gonzalez. This really is a very special bout and was later votes the Fight of the Year by many, including Ring Magazine.
