August 24th 2013-Bodymaker Colosseum, Osaka, Osaka, Japan Ryuto Kyoguchi (10-0, 7) Vs Adones Aguelo (20-8-1, 12) Japan's Ryuto Kyoguchi [京口竜人] was once touted as a potential champion under the Osaka Teiken banner, with his 2011 Rookie of the Year being a sign that the youngster was going to be one to watch. Today his career lies in tatters following an arrest in 2014 after an assault. One of his most notable in the ring bouts saw him face off against the criminally under-rated Adones Aguelo of the Philippines in a bout that perhaps revealed Kyoguchi wasn't going to be the star that some had suggested he could become.

April 4th 2015- L-Osaka, Osaka, Osaka, Japan Ryuto Kyoguchi (13-0-1, 9) Vs Kosuke Saka (9-3, 6) Good prospects in Japan do seem to be matched relatively well and one recent match up that wen were very interested in saw the unbeaten Ryuto Kyoguchi take on Kosuke Saka. The bout wasn't going to register on the international circuit but domestically it made for a brilliant match up and one that seemed certain to give us some real excitement. And if we're being honest it lived up to that expectation (Video courtesy of nov K) The heavy handed Ryuto Kyoguchi is one of a number is promising Japanese prospects who expected to compete for national and continental titles in the future. No one really suspect he'll be a world class fighter but there is plenty about him that we like, including a determined and aggressive mindset that makes him fun to watch even if he's not the most skilled fighter out there. His determination was tested recently as he fought an equally determined Shohei Fujimoto who gave him a really good fight before an anti-climactic headclash took the bout to the scorecards earlier than expected. If you've not seen Kyoguchi in action this fight may convince you to follow his career in the future as it seems he'll likely be in some thrillers before his career is over.
