When we talk about great bouts we know some slip through the radar and one such bout was the 1994 FOTY contender between Ratanapol Sor Vorapin, the thunderously hard hitting Thai southpaw, and Venezuelan banger Marcelino Bolivar.
Going into the bout Ratanapol was the IBF Minimumweight champion and had already made 6 defences of his belt. He entered with a very good record of of 18-2-1 (13) and had won his previous 11 bouts. Bolivar was a former 2-time Olympian who had won an Olympic bronze in 1984 and had compiled an excellent record of 17-3 (16). Both were serious punchers and it showed.
We won't ruin what happens in the bout but it really is an amazing contest and well worth your time.
