August 29th 2015-Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center Hong Kong S.A.R., China Petchsuriya Singwancha (15-10, 8) Vs Kerry Hope (22-7, 2) One of the most controversial bouts in Asia this year came from Hong Kong where Thailand's Petchsuriya Singwancha fought Welshman Kerry Hope in a bout for a WBC regional title. Hope, an Australian based fighter, was viewed as the favourite given that he had mixed at a much higher level, and had actually won the European title with a win over Grzegorz Proksa back, in 2012, he was however against an officiating team that included 3 Thai's giving Petchsuriya an almost "home advantage" feel. The result was widely condemned from ringside from journalists who saw the bout as well as fans who had the chance to see the action from the venue.

Thai Light Middleweights are rare though in Petchsuriya Singwancha they appear to have someone with a bit of talent, even if his record is misleading. In a stay busy fight Petchsuriya showed off his ability as he scored an eye catching KO against fellow Thai Kongsuk Patanakan Gym. Whilst we all know Petchsuriya isn't world class and won't ever be a world champion though we will enjoy watching him if he continues to fight like he did here with a lot of uppercuts on the inside.
