March 27th 2016-Yongsan Culture Center, Seoul, South Korea Ye Joon Kim (13-1-2, 7) Vs Patomsith Pathompothong (15-4, 5) Earlier this year Korean hopeful Ye Joon Kim [김예준] took on Thailand's Patomsith Pathompothong [ปฐมสิทธิ์ เกษตรพัฒนา] in what looked like a great match up on paper, and a good test for the young Korean January 22nd 2016-Wat Phraboromthat Chaiya Surat Thani, Thailand Mike Tawatchai (37-8-1, 21) Vs Shingo Kawamura (11-2-1, 6) Earlier today Thairath, on their TV channel and youtube channel, streamed some live boxing. The main event of the card saw Thai veteran Mike Tawatchai [ไมค์ เกษตรพัฒนา] battle Japanese visitor Shingo Kawamura [河村真吾]. (Footage thanks to Thairath) June 10th 2015-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Hisashi Amagasa (28-5-2, 19) Vs Patomsith Pathompothong (12-3, 5) At the end of 2014 Hisashi Amagasa went from being a fighter totally unknown outside of Japan to being a fighter who managed to force a memorable bout with Guillermo Rigondeaux. The fight with Rigondeaux saw Amagasa ending the bout a swollen mess but as a fighter who was suddenly a "name". Sadly it took 6 months for Amagasa to return after the loss to Cuban, though he fought his return in a packed Korakuen Hall as he took on Thailand's Patomsith Pathompothong, a stablemate of Amnat Ruenroeng and Fahlan Sakkreerin Jr, who had both scored big upset wins in Japan. April 17th 2015-Thailand Patomsith Pathompothong (11-3, 4) Vs Jason Butar Butar (18-15-1, 14) The IBF Asia titles are, at times, a total joke yet some how they have seen very undeserving fighters become world ranked fighters. Earlier today we saw Patomsith Pathompothong battle against Jason Butar Butar in such IBF Asia title bout. We're unsure what either had done to qualify for an IBF title bout but we guess it's the mysterious world of the IBF. (Video courtesy of tko.in.th) |
