(Video courtesy TKO.in.th) November 7th 2011- Bung Nongkhai, Nong Khai, Thailand Paipharob Kokietgym (18-0, 16) Vs Jesus Silvestre (23-2, 17) We don't like the proliferation of world titles which are a real problem in boxing. Strangely however they do seem to lend themselves well to "Contender Vs Contender" type of fights. One such bout saw the unbeaten Paipharob Kokietgym battle against Mexico's talented Jesus Silvestre in a contest for the WBA interim Light Flyweight title back in November 2011. When we look at the most talented Thai's it's hard to ignore power puncher Paipharob Kokietgym who has shown very credible power at Light Flyweight. This past Friday Paipharob successfully defended his PABA title with a clear, though less than impressive, decision over Indonesian Faris Nenggo. The bout saw Paipharob starting very well. At the end of the bout however the tired Thai looked like a man who needed more 12 rounders under his belt before he is moved onto a really big fight. (Video courtesy of ทีเคโอ มวยโลก) |
