August 30th 2014- Wolsong elementary school, Gyeongju, South Korea Young Kil Bae (19-4-1, 14) Vs Petchwanchai Sor Visetkit (14-7, 6) Earlier this year Young Kil Bae, a fighter also known as Myung Goo Yuh, came out of nowhere to be announced as a challenger for the WBC Minimumweight title. Bae however was injured before he got the chance to step in the ring and fight Wanheng Menayothin. Despite the injury it appears efforts are being made to get Bae Vs Wanheng rescheduled. Given that news we were incredibly happy to come across a fight of Bae's that we didn't have. This one sees the Korean defending his PABA Flyweight title against a Petchwanchai Sor Visetkit.

Here we look at one of his first title bouts, a contest with Filipino foe Richard Garcia who fought Bae for the interim PABA Flyweight title way back in 2008. April 23rd 2011- Seodaejeon Square, Daejeon, South Korea Young Kil Bae (9-3-1, 4) Vs Roque Lauro (6-8-1) Earlier today we were informed that Young Kil Bae would be challenging Wanheng Menayothin for the WBC Minimumweight title. Later, thanks to Jake Donovan, we were made aware that Bae had previously fought as "Myung Goo Yuh" that made finding footage slightly easier and we came across this bout from 4 years ago, when Yuh fought Filipino for Roque Lauro. Note-A this was filmed outside there is a "windy" sound to the recording. We're sorry about that. March 1st 2015- Wat Nongcharoentham, Kampaengsaen, Nakhon Pathom, Thailand Myung Goo Yuh (25-4-1, 20) Vs Richie Behec (2-2-1, 1) South Korean boxing doesn't have many notable names right now but the world ranked Mung Goo Yuh is certainly one of the few worth making a note of. The world ranked Flyweight was in action this past weekend when he took on busy Filipino Richie Behec, who was fighting for the 5th time this year! (Video courtesy of AK promotions) February 13th-Thailand Myung-goo Yuh (24-4-1, 19) Vs Joan Imperial (11-5-6, 6) South Korea doesn't have many world ranked fighters though it does have the interesting Myung-goo Yuh who is now making a name for himself in Thailand where he has fought numerous times over the last few years. In his most recent bout Yuh took on Filipino Joan Imperial, who was fighting in Thailand for the 6th time. (Video courtesy of tko.in.th) |
