December 23rd 2006-Bung Kamo Indoor Tennis Std., Senayan, Indonesia Muhammad Rachman (60-5-5, 31) vs Benjie Sorolla (24-12-3, 8) Indonesian fight fans haven't had a lot to celebrate about, with only 4 world champion's in the sports history. One of those was Muhammad Rachman who can be seen here defending the IBF Minimumweight title against Filipino challenger Benjie Sorolla. March 5th 2015- City Hall Ground, Chonburi, Thailand Knockout CP Freshmart (9-0, 5) Vs Muhammad Rachman (65-11-5, 35) Thailand's unbeaten Knockout CP Freshmart won the WBA interim title in late 2014. In his first defense he took on Indonesian veteran Muhammad Rachman, a 2-time world champion who was clearly coming to the end of his career. With a 19 year ago gap between the fighters it didn't take a genius to guess who the favourite was going into the contest. (Video courtesy of tko.in.th) May 29th 2009- Bangla Stadium , Patong, Phuket, Thailand Oleydong Sithsamerchai (30-0, 12) Vs Muhammad Rachman (62-7-5, 32) Boxing is full of talented fighters who we seem to think are less talented than they are. Two such fighters are Oleydong Sithsamerchai and Muhammad Rachman. These two men fought back in 2009 when Oleydong was the WBC Minimumweight champion and unbeaten fighter making his 3rd world title defence which Rachman was viewed as a as a man who had seen better days following losses to Florante Condes and Milan Melindo in 2 of his previous 3 bouts. (Note-Sound quality here is poor at times, we're very sorry about that) July 30th 2011- Indosiar Studio, Jakarta, Indonesia Muhammad Rachman (63-10-5, 33) Vs Pornsawan Porpramook (22-3-1, 16) In April 2011 Muhammad Rachman became the oldest Minimumweight world champion in history as he shocked Kwanthai Sithmorseng to claim the WBA title aged 39. In his first defence of that title Rachman battled against another Thai, the always exciting Pornsawan Porpramook in what turned out to be a genuinely riveting contest that helped put Pornsawan on the boxing map and proved that Rachman was still among the top in the Minimumweight division. September 10th 2010- MSU IIT Gym, Iligan City, Lanao del Norte, Philippines Denver Cuello (23-4-6, 13) Vs Muhammad Rachman (62-8-5, 32) The Minimumweight division has often been one of the sports most over-looked and most over ignored divisions. That is despite the fact it's had some wonderfully exciting fighters in it, including the brilliant Denver Cuello tends to live up to his nickname of "The Excitement". In one of his most notable bouts Cuello battled against Indonesian veteran Muhammad Rachman in a major bout for both men, with Rachman needing a win to keep his career alive following 3 losses in his previous 4 bouts whilst Cuello needed a big to make the world take note.
