June 27th 2006-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Manabu Fukushima (29-6-2, 19) vs Thaweechok Soseetha (4-6, 3) II In March 2006 Manabu Fukushima [福島学] scored a competitive unanimous decision win over Thaweechok Soseetha, fighting as Kaona Klongpajol as the time. Around 4 months later the men met again in a second bout between the fighters. Despite his limited record the Thai would serve a real test for a number of fighters, and was still fighting a decent level in 2011, when he faced future world champion Yukinori Oguni. Note - Thaweechok Soseetha is listed on screen as sporting a record of 16-11 (12)

May 7th 1999-Tokyo, Japan Manabu Fukushima (14-2-1, 11) vs Marlon Arlos (26-10-2, 11) In May 1999 rising Japanese hopeful Manabu Fukushima [福島学] faced off with Filipino Marlon Arlos November 7th 1998-Tokyo, Japan Manabu Fukushima (12-2-1, 9) Vs Jaime Barcelona (6-1, 2) In 1998 Japan's Manabu Fukushima, a future Japanese national champion, took on a then novice Jaime Barcelona. Whilst Fukushima would go on to win a national title, and fight for an interim WBC world title Barcelona has gone on to rack up over 100 bouts, and fought as recently as October 2019...that's more than 20 years after this bout took place! April 6th 2002-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Manabu Fukushima (21-4-1, 15) vs Arnel Barotillo (26-12-3, 18) II In 2001 Japanese fighter Manabu Fukushima [福島学] suffered an upset loss to Filipino Arnel Barotillo, via split decision. June 9th 1997-Tokyo, Japan Manabu Fukushima (7-2-1, 6) vs Yasuyuki Ishii (1-0) In the summer of 1997 future Japanese world title contender Manabu Fukushima took on professional novice Yasuyuki Ishii in a 6 rounder July 15th 2000-Tokyo, Japan Setsuo Segawa (13-2, 6) vs Manabu Fukushima (18-2-1, 13) In the summer of 2000 Japanese fans saw Olympian Setsuo Segawa fight to become a 2-weight national champion, as he took on Manabu Fukushima for the Japanese Super Bantamweight title. December 2nd 2000-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Manabu Fukushima (18-3-1, 13) vs Reynante Jamili (43-7, 33) In 2000 rising Japanese fighter Manabu Fukushima took on former world title challenger Raynante Hamili for the Philippines. February 14th 2000-Tokyo, Japan Manabu Fukushima (16-2-1, 12) vs Yutaka Manabe (23-6-1, 15) In early 2002 Yutaka Manabe, the then Japanese Super Bantamweight champion, faced off with Manabu Fukushima in Tokyo. August 28th 1999-Tokyo, Japan Manabu Fukushima (15-2-1, 12) vs Momotaro Kitajima (15-1, 9) In 1999 future world title challenger Manabu Fukushinma took on former Japanese title challenger Momotaro Kitajima in a 10 round bout that saw the winner move onto a Japanese title fight the following year. |
