We've not seen Thailand's fast rising Knockout CP Freshmart struggle much in his career so far, though it's fair to say that unheralded Indian Amit Panghal gave him an unexpectedly tough test when the two men fought this past January. One of the reasons, we suspect, for Knockout's struggles was that Panghal was big for a Minimumweight, he was also defensively clever and, probably most tellingly, he was a southpaw. Being a defensively sound Southpaw made Panghal a tough ask for many young fighters and Knockout was no exception. Despite the win for the Thai we'll admit the fight has left us wanting to see more of Panghal who looks like he has real potential even if he is unlikely to become "India's first ever world champion". There is enough from him here to suggest that he could, with the right team behind him, become a contender though of course we doubt anyone will really put money behind him, sadly. (Note, fight footage is unfortunately incomplete though there is enough here to make it clear that Knockout didn't have things all his own way)
