July 9th 1989-Rajadamnern Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand Sung Kil Moon (9-0, 8) vs Khaokor Galaxy (23-1, 18) II In August 1988 Korean fighter Sung Kil Moon [문성길] won the WBA Bantamweight title, dethroning Khaokor Galaxy [เขาค้อ แกแลคซี่]. The following July, in Moon's third defense, he travelled to Thailand to rematch Galaxy. August 14th 1988-New Lamada Renaissance Hotel, Seoul, South Korea Sung Kil Moon (6-0, 6) vs Khaokor Galaxy (18-0, 13) I In 1988 Korean fighter Sung Kil Moon challenged unbeaten WBA Bantamweight champion Khaokor Galaxy, the twin of Khaosai Galaxy, in what was his first defense. May 9th 1988-Hua Mark Indoor Stadium, Bangkok, Thailand Khaokor Galaxy (17-0, 13) vs Wilfredo Vazquez (26-3-2, 22) In 1988 the great Khaokor Galaxy, the twin brother of Khaosai Galaxy, battled against the hard hitting Wilfredo Vazquez, for the WBA Bantamweight title. January 15th 1989-Crocodile Farm, Samut Prakan, Thailand Khaokor Galaxy (20-1, 15) vs Duk-Hwan Bae (6-7-1, 3) In 1988 Khaokor Galaxy [วิโรจน์ แสนคำ] became a world champion, joining his twin Khaosai. He would reclaim a world title in 1989 and between his two reigns he would face Korean Duk Hwan Bae in a stay busy bout. One of the most controversial and debated all-Asian bouts from the 1980's was the WBA Bantamweight title fight between the teak tough Khaokor Galaxy and Filipino fighter Luisito Espinosa. We won't ruin the result though following the bout there was reports of gambling irregularities, a fix and of neurological issues, the one thing we will say is that the ending was very peculiar lending credibility to all sorts of weird theories.
