The most recent big story from Asia is that Hisashi Amagasa would be fighting against Cuban sensation Guillermo Rigondeaux. The news was genuinely exciting and allows Japanese fans a chance to see one of the best on planet live and in the flesh, giving Japanese fans their second superstar visitor of the year with the Cuban following Roman Gonzalez's lead. For Rigondeaux however it won't be the first time that he's fought a Japanese fighter in a high profile bout having previously fought Kazumasa Tsujimoto in the 2nd round of the 2000 Sydney Olympics. Going on this bout things don't bode well for Amagasa with Rigondeaux having put on a genuine boxing lesson against the Japanese fighter who was simply unable to catch Rigondeaux with a clean shot before being stopped early in round 3 with the score at 15-0, forcing an automatic finish to the bout.
