November 15th 2008-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Kazuhiko Hidaka (27-5, 19) vs Taisei Marumoto (22-8-1, 10) II In 2008 we had the second bout between Kazuhiko Hidaka [飛天かずひこ] and Taisei Marumoto [丸元大成]. The two men had met very early in their career and were now battling for the OPBF Light Middleweight title, with Hidaka looking to defend the belt.

March 19th 2005-Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Rev Santillan (21-1-1, 15) vs Kazuhiko Hidaka (20-4, 14) In 2005 Japanese fans saw Rev Santillan travel over to Tokyo twice to face Kazuhiko Hidaka in a bout for the OPBF Welterweight title. This is the first of those two meeting. The first of those bouts saw Hidaka stop Santillan in 4 rounds to claim the the OPBF Welterweight title from the Filipino and the second saw Santillan attempting to reclaim his title whilst Hidaka was looking for his second defense. April 22nd 2008- Korakuen Hall, Tokyo, Japan Akio Shibata (9-4-1, 5) Vs Kazuhiko Hidaka (26-5, 18) Today Akio Shibata is one of the more well known Japanese fighters in the Middleweight division. Around 7 years ago however he was a Light Middleweight trying to make a name for himself. In Shibata's first title bout he took on the then OPBF Light Middleweight champion Kazuhiko Hidaka, a hard hitting fighter who had previously claimed the OPBF Welterweight title before moving toe 154lbs and defeating Yuki Nonaka for the title there. |
