Hidenobu Honda (26-2, 14) Vs Alexander Munoz (23-0, 23)
In 2002 Japan's Hidenobu Honda [本田秀伸] fought in his first world title fight, coming up short against the then WBC Flyweight champion Pongsaklek Wonjongkam. The following year Honda got his second title shot, up against the fearsome Alexander Munoz, the then WBA champion. Munoz, who had a perfect 23-0 (23) record was fighting a third successive bout in Japanese where he had claimed the title, beating Celes Kobayashi, and had defended it, stopping Eiji Kojima.
