September 11th 2015-Thailand Hanuman Sithluangporphun (10-4, 3) Vs Jack Amisa (21-36-2, 14) Earlier today in Thailand fans had the chance to see Hanuman Sithluangporphun battle against busy Indonesian Jack Amisa, who was making his 23rd visit to the "Land of Smiles". In his previous 22 visits to Thailand Amisa had failed to register a single win. This past Friday he was in the ring against Indonesian visitor Hengky Elleuw. (Video courtesy of tko.in.th) November 19th 2011-People's Stadium, Tianjin, China Ma Yi Ming (6-5, 3) Vs Hanuman Sithluangporphun (0-1) Earlier this week we were informed that China's Ma Yi Ming would be fighting for the WBA interim title. That lead to us hunting down footage of the Chinese fighter, including this bout against the Hanuman Sithluangporphun who was fighting for just the second time as a professional. At the time neither fighter was well known though since then Ming has become a world ranked fighter whilst Hanuman has slowly built up a record and claim an interim PABA title. March 13th 2015- Ubon Ratchathani, Thailand Hanuman Sithluangporphun (7-4, 1) Vs Stevanus Nanai (2-2-1, 2) Thailand's Hanuman Sithluangporphun has a very misleading record though it's clear he's now finding his form as he entered his bout with Indonesia's Stevanus Nanai on the back of a 4 fight winning streak, the longest of his career so far. (Video courtesy of tko.in.th) January 9th 2015- Thailand Hanuman Sithluangporphun (4-0, 1) Vs Domi Nenokeba (11-22-1, 7) The numbers that make up a fighters record is only half of the story when it comes to their ability. Through 4 bouts Hanuman Sithluangporphun hadn't scored a single stoppage but had picked up valuable rounds against much more experienced men as he began to learn his trade. On the other hand Indonesia's Domi Nenokeba had a record considering of 34 bouts but his last 22 were all defeats and his 11 combined wins had mainly come against debutants, novices and people who would struggle to get a licenses in the west. The quality between the two men was vast and it was shown when they met this past Friday. (Video courtesy of ทีเคโอ มวยโลก) Thailand's Hanuman Sithluangporphun may be a novice as a professional but he appears to be on the fast track towards a world title bout. In just his 4th professional contest the Thai youngster claimed the interim PABA Light Flyweight title as he over-came Filipino journeyman Wilber Andogan. We won't pretend this this was a thriller anything like that but it was the sort of boxing display that we rarely in Thailand where a patient boxer chose to use speed and skills to over-come an opponent. The one issue that Hanuman may have in the future is that his pay may prevent him reaching the heights expected of him. Hopefully as he matures his power will come as he appears to do a lot of the other things very well. (Video courtesy ทีเคโอ มวยโลก) |
